Yea, we might be a bunch of lazy-asses...
but we're clean lazy-asses!
Cleanup and Packing Out
Pack it in, pack it out. And never let it hit the ground.. You'll save yourself and everyone else a lot of trouble. The LAFers have two recycle spaces set up on either end of camp. Recycle camp will gladly accept our aluminum cans, with all proceeds going to great causes. Burnables in another container, and wet or other trash in yet another. All trash will be hauled off the playa and disposed of properly.

Each camper will, upon their departure, police their own area as well as a portion of the common areas. BURNING MAN org asks that each ticket holder contribute
two hours of time gathering MOOP on the playa. All MOOP gathered will be disposed of properly. Camp will be gridded, and each camper will walk their assigned grid, cleaning all moop and disposing of it properly.

Each morning the LAFers will police their camp for any debris or MOOP blown in through the night.

The Art Project will have it's own trash and paint/grey water disposal. Paint water will be contained and hauled off the playa. There will be a floor cloth under the Art projects to protect the playa from accidental drops and paint spills.

The LAFers are a responsible camp, and are very aware of our environment and the impact we have on it.
Caught MOOPING?

Well, now you've done it.
And you thought that Mom was just a lazy-ass like everyone else and wouldn't mind picking up after just one more person.
HA! You've just raised the ire of the MOM. And now, like it or not, you've been labeled and

YOU HAVE TO WEAR THE SIGN

around your neck....
MOOPER
Only the Mom can remove it, and I'll bet you don't do that again.
Do you want to be seen by 45,000 people wearing that sign around your neck?
me neither...
Reduce our garbage

Remove outer packages before your arrival. This will greatly reduce the quantity of trash to be hauled out. Condense your packaged and food containers, removing bulky cardboard boxes and plastic wrappers.
Reuse your drinking containers, with a little rinse and wipe they'll sure beat the pile of paper or plastic disposables. Carry a plastic drinking container with you on the playa, one with a handle works great. Should others share beverages, they'd appreciate you providing your own cup.

Read the
Survival Guide on the Burning Man website, it's required reading. It's also full of great info, tips and ideas.
Be sure to read the Earth Guardians pages also. There is only one Mother Earth.
The LOAD OUT
With everyone in camp leaving at different times and days, prethink your escape.

Things don't repack the same  gear just gets stuffed. We've all done it.
Please remember a couple of things (you'll be reminded again if necessary):
We
will create trash and we will need to tear down community structures.

You'll need to remember that there will be more to load than just your own gear.
Please plan on space for some of the community trash. Yes, everyone is planning on their own, but PLEASE take a little of the camp pile also.

On Sunday the community structures will come down. Please plan on lending a hand with the tear down and packing of them. If everyone pitches in, it'll go very quickly.
GIFT IT
It's about giving, helping and community. Please remember the DPW work crews on your way out of Black Rock City.
They would appreciate any left over beverages (bottled water, canned or bottled liquids), canned foods and the like.
These folks work hard, and you'll feel better gifting your left over water, beer etc. And you eliminate the extra weight and space heading home!
Gift it!
There will be NO BURNING in the LAFers camp, not in burn barrels, or on the open playa. Sorry, the risks are too high. And we will just have to wait for the MAN!
